We are looking for a Sr. Digital Product Manager to help us craft the future of Schwab's digital Inheritance experience. We are focused on making the experience of transitioning wealth to beneficiaries as easy as possible for our clients and their loved ones. You will support product managers within a cross-functional delivery team comprised of partners from user experience, design, research, product, data, and technology.

The team is collectively responsible for:

  • Strategy - Setting clear product vision through feature prioritization, rooted in addressing client needs and moving the needle on business goals
  • Execution - On all aspects of digital product development including discovery, experimentation, delivery, measurement, and response
  • Client Focus - Develop a deep understanding of the target market, personas, and client pain-points
  • Partnership - As a member of a cross functional team, collaborate with UX Design, UX Research, Engineering, Data/Analytics, and Digital Product to delivery products our customers love. Support a variety of stakeholders across the organization including our client-facing employees serving clients as well as platform teams across Schwab.

Key Responsibilities:

Product and customer champion

  • Learn and understand the Schwab Estates process, represent the voice of the client, and partner with SMEs across the organization from business, operations, and technology
  • Partnering with other Product Owners, you will be responsible for alignment, technical execution and strategic vision of various components of a re-imagined digital Inheritance experience
  • You will drive the product roadmap and define release maps based on feasibility, viability, and usability
  • You will translate product vision into specific deliverables and ensure rigor in execution and attention to detail by effectively managing the product feature backlog across both a frontend engineering and a user experience scrum team.
  • You will partner with a content strategist and design team to support the process of getting new content approved by Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Fraud.
  • You will support a UX team of designers by representing the scenarios, use cases, and customer problems we are solving
  • You will play an active role providing input into iterative user testing, leveraging research findings to make product decisions and ongoing improvements to the client experience
  • You will identify and partner on process improvements which enhance the experience for clients and internal service teams
  • You will use data effectively to help you drive user insights and inform product decisions
  • You will represent product in an agile environment by activating team members across different functions to execute on product delivery

  • You will outline the vision for future use-cases to ensure leverage and scalability across unique client journeys
  • You will focus on business impact and come up with actionable recommendations informed by high quality data analysis and metrics
  • You will be at the forefront of evolving the way we work across teams and the company by incorporating design thinking, a multi-channel approach and end to end collaboration

Team Leader

  • You are enthusiastic and will motivate the scrum team to leverage individual strengths in order to move past difficult situations
  • You will model team norms and contribute to positive team dynamics, leading to continuous team performance improvement
  • You will help foster an environment of trust, effectively communicating within the scrum team and with an ecosystem of stakeholders

What you have

  • Strong digital product management skills, experience with client journeys and managing digital user experience

  • Experience with Schwab's digital products and processes either as a contractor or associate
  • A passion for digital innovation and commitment to superb client experience
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and process data
  • Technical background with ability to understand broader business needs and strategy
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred:

  • Effective relationship builder - ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types
  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
  • Superior communication skills, able to communicate trade-offs, tell a compelling story, and leverage product prototypes to demonstrate ideas
  • Good understanding and/or experience with financial services bank & brokerage regulations, specifically around Retirement, Estates, or Wealth Transfer, is a plus
  • Experience with experiment driven product development - developing and testing hypotheses, leveraging user research and data driven measurement techniques to learn quickly and reduce time to respond, is a plus
  • Experience writing user stories using Gherkin language, is a plus
  • Experience developing products in a regulated environment, working through a process with legal and compliance to ensure content is compliant, is a plus
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Splunk, Optimizely, A/B Testing, MABL is a plus.
