Position overview:
As an instrumental role in the overall success of the HBSE Global Partnerships team, the Director, Partnership Solutions is responsible for developing and crafting powerful stories (written, visual, and in-person) for prospective and current corporate partners. Using a combination of data & analytics, brand/market research, creative thinking, and using partner business objectives, the Director will lead efforts to build fully cohesive and integrated sponsorship platforms, both locally and nationally, with multiple properties within the HBSE portfolio.

Reporting to the SVP, Global Partnerships, the Director will develop strong cross-functional relationships at all levels throughout the HBSE portfolio of properties. This role will collaborate daily with the Heads of Partnership Solutions and other executives at all HBSE properties to create synergy and share best practices across the portfolio. As the Director of Partnership Solutions for the Global Partnerships team, it is critical that this person can complete and lead multiple key projects at the same time, prioritize (and reprioritize) projects and tasks based on urgency and importance, and be willing and able to personally complete any project or task needed in furtherance of the company's business goals.

The candidate selected into this key role will have a proven track record in building successful partnership pitches, as well as a demonstrated ability to secure seven-figure investments with FORTUNE 500 organizations. They should have an established reputation and track record of success, both internally and externally, and are looking to further enhance their career with one of the leading sports and entertainment companies in the world

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:
  • Develop customized and targeted proposals and presentations (both internal and client-facing) for local & national brands with the goal of driving revenue via corporate sponsorships and other key business objectives (ex: premium/suite sales, ticket sales, other partnerships, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively across various groups to build cross-property sponsorship platforms for HBSE Global Partnerships and local teams. Ensure those concepts can be effectively activated by working with Solutions Heads, Activation, Marketing, Content and other appropriate departments.
  • Travel (frequency TBD) to all HBSE properties to meet with and build relationships with key stakeholders in the Solutions/Sales/Activation teams in order to effectively articulate the story at each individual team & the portfolio at large.
  • Collaborate with other Heads of Solutions at other HBSE properties, serving as a central hub of information & project management to ensure a streamlined and efficient pitch development process.
  • Create written, visual & in-person sales presentation materials. This role will be expected to personally design & edit those materials leveraging various tools (ex: "") throughout the HBSE portfolio, including development of basic digital design & creative elements (Ex: mockups). For more detailed creative needs, this role will collaborate with the respective HBSE property Solutions/Creative teams.
  • Create effective & efficient storytelling platforms to show how and why a partnership with HBSE will drive the partner's business forward.
  • Participate in sales and strategy meetings and provide guidance on sales positioning, prospecting, and qualifying of potential prospects.
  • Leverage research tools (ex: YouGov) and self-generated research to provide analytical support to sales pitches, current partnership evaluations, prospecting opportunities, etc.
  • Research current partnership deals & best practices in place at all HBSE properties, understanding both category restrictions – and areas of opportunity.
  • Develop internal & external materials that make valuable contributions to other HBSE properties in the form of presentations, memos, decks, excel charts, etc.
  • Work hand-in-hand with various groups within the HBSE portfolio to ensure compliance with internal processes (ex: CRM) and reporting (ex: KORE, financial reporting, etc.). This includes working with each HBSE property to optimally manage inventory and available assets to sell.
  • Work closely with other HBSE Global Partnerships team members to monitor league and industry trends to identify new revenue opportunities (new sales, upsells, etc.)
  • Build regular (annual, quarterly, etc.) business plans with solutions-based sales and marketing strategies to drive new business revenue for the company.
  • Align the efforts of individuals and teams from multiple business units to accomplish the goals of the company.
  • Project/event-based P&L responsibility.
  • Develop and deliver new tools, models and KPIs (including research and data tools) to focus, drive and monitor commercial activities.
  • Set meetings, coordinate schedules, communicate both internally and externally using email, phone calls, video conferences, etc. - and complete various administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of account management/revenue generation/solutions experience in consumer facing commercial environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Renowned solution & platform development pedigree.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing event-based commercial and revenue strategies.
  • A track record of driving revenue growth for major events (e.g. entertainment or sports events).
  • Known throughout the industry for their poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
  • Strong leadership, commercial, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills.
  • High energy, excellent communicator, excellent teammate, engaging, entrepreneurial and has a "roll-up-my-sleeves mentality".

Working conditions:
  • Work Environment: This position is based in Camden, NJ and will be required to attend 76ers games, Devils games, Prudential Center events, Commanders games, NASCAR races, and other events (domestically and internationally) throughout the year as needed.
  • Travel Requirements: Will require travel on a TBD basis; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
  • Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to move up to 10 pounds.
