Job Summary:

MindCare Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive mental health solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to serve as the Site Mental Health Director in one of our juvenile facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of mental health services to inmates, ensuring that care meets community standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Directly supervise and evaluate mental health staff, ensuring that they provide high-quality care to inmates.
  • Policy Implementation: Enforce policies and procedures related to mental health services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Meet regularly with the Health Services Administrator to discuss mental health services, coordinate care with the medical department, and oversee referrals for psychopharmacological interventions.
  • Transfer and Discharge Planning: Oversee the transfer of inmates to higher levels of mental health care when necessary and ensure that discharge planning is completed for inmates being released into the community.
  • Professional Development: Attend clinical and administrative meetings, provide direct mental health services as needed, and maintain an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.

Requirements:

  • Education: Possess a degree in Psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D) from an accredited graduate program in Psychology.
  • Licensure: Hold a current, unrestricted Clinical or Counseling Psychologist license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Experience: Demonstrate a combination of education, training, course work, and experience that meets the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Background Check: Pass a required criminal background check.
  • Skills: Possess excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling, sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence.
