We are looking for a Head of Reporting who is innovative, resilient and an effective communicator to join us in our Insights & Analytics team, based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. This hybrid role (at least 40% of the time in office) requires up to 10% travel domestically.

About the Role

UCB is looking for a Head of Reporting who is a skilled leader responsible for developing and implementing reporting and visualization initiatives, integrating data into our culture. Leading a team of professionals, you will work closely with various departments in each therapeutic area to enhance reporting processes and systems continuously. Your role involves transforming data and insights into services/products and creating innovative digital data experiences for both internal and external business partners.

Who you'll work with
Internally, you will work with leadership and their teams that are in the field (Sales, Market Access, Clinical Teams, Marketing Teams), IT colleagues, and members of your own team on the commercial data operations team. Externally, you will work with our reporting partners.

What you'll do

  • Shaping and driving our reporting and analytics strategy
  • Designing and implementing plans to increase self-service reporting capabilities
  • Working with internal stakeholders, reporting and analytics teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting within agreed timelines
  • Supporting the new client onboarding process from a data and reporting perspective including oversight and coordination of data conversions, including data mapping and analysis
  • Measuring and monitoring the performance and capacity of the reporting team
  • Develop and implement reporting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Managing issues, risks, dependencies and ensuring these are communicated and acknowledged effectively
  • Partner with IT and enhance reporting systems and tools, leveraging technology to automate manual processes and improve data integrity
  • Working with our product and data teams to ensure relevant standards, governance and approach are followed
  • Vendor management and resolution of performance issues as necessary

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in an analytic discipline - engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc. Master's degree in a similar field or an MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in reporting and analytics.
  • Skills to inspire staff, to lead projects, provide guidance to management and professional staff, and to work effectively to develop a highly collaborative environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing reporting best practices and driving process improvements.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience developing BI tools for commercial pharma applications (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Technical aptitude or exposure to database structure, data dictionaries, and similar is a plus
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Product management mentality - the information this position manages is an important component of datasets and reporting applications used by data scientists, analysts, and business users is a plus
  • Experience as a Business Analyst is a plus
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma is a plus
