Position Overview

In your capacity as the Regional Sustainability Reporting Lead within the newly formed Global Statutory & Sustainability Reporting Center of Excellence, you will collaborate closely with Global Record to Report Service Delivery Senior Directors and their teams to oversee compliance metrics for mandatory statutory reporting, ensuring alignment with various global sustainability directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Global Record to Report Service Delivery Senior Directors and regional Legal Entity Controlling teams to manage compliance metrics for mandatory statutory reporting in accordance with sustainability directives from various regulatory bodies worldwide.
  • Stay informed about the latest sustainability reporting regulations applicable to the legal entities in scope, ensuring the appropriateness, completeness, and consistency of metrics collected and disclosed.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data points collected to support disclosures and the external audit assurance process.
  • Conduct a thorough review of the metrics collected to ensure the reasonableness of information reported in accordance with established timelines.
  • Partner with Center Finance and global Functional SMEs to execute work for regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarize yourself with information systems that house relevant data for sustainability reporting and propose enhancements to optimize the reporting process.
  • Support a robust internal control environment guided by the 'Book of Sustainability' by executing activities that address control risks.
  • Review and approve the work of third-party vendors in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Drive the evolution of sustainability reporting from transition to operational and optimized states.
  • Monitor data quality to ensure compliance with standards and consistency of information output.
  • Collaborate effectively with other Finance Hub teams and audit service providers to support the assurance process.
  • Update the scope of reporting as necessary when new legal entities are established or specific entities are liquidated.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of the reporting process for statutory compliance while considering overall risk.
  • Manage escalations and resolve issues raised by the team and stakeholders.
  • Establish resource protocols to support business continuity in partnership with the Finance Hub team.

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in Finance, particularly in financial and/or management accounting, with a focus on influencing and collaborating with senior leaders.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS/Local GAAP.
  • General understanding of regulatory environments.
  • Experience in significant change projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to manage virtual teams across cultures and time zones.
  • Experience in a multinational company with a global presence.
