Position Description

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR RELATIONS/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS) in the Commander, Fleet Readiness Center, Dept of Navy of COMFLTREADCEN.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

You will analyze employee benefits programs and services (e.g., retirement, health insurance, life insurance) to identify areas requiring improvement.
You will coordinate with customers (e.g., Operations Center, Managers, human resources offices, other organizations) to resolve issues with recruitment actions.
You will advise managers and employees on drug and alcohol testing processes and procedures (e.g., random selection, follow-up, post-accident, voluntary, reasonable suspicion, pre-employment).
You will assess the effectiveness of an employee relations program in meeting strategic objectives.
You will review awards packages (e.g., performance, time-off, on-the-spot, special act, meritorious civilian service) to ensure all requirements have been met.
You will write agency directives or policies for human resources programs (e.g., classification, compensation management, employee relations, labor relations.
