Vaco Staffing is seeking a Project Accountantfor a client in New Berlin, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting:
  • Coordinate with project manager to determine % of completion and all billing requirements
  • Complete AIA Documents, Schedule of values, 3rdparty billing entry, billing in Pieper financial system.
  • Review and approve invoices and receiving documents for Accounts Payable processing
  • Determine taxability status of job, as well as for materials purchased on the job and ensure job to set up to accurately reflect taxability.
  • Facilitate certified payroll submission based on customer requirements.
  • Assist in timely collections of A/R
  • Work closely with A/R Manager and Sr. Accounting Manager to develop project accountant role for other jobs and departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar
  • Prior experience as project accountant in construction industry.
  • Intense attention to detail with accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong desire to create and improve processes and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
