We are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our esteemed team. This position is integral to managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the financial operations of construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Implementing effective project collections and overseeing sales tax reporting.
3. Administering Procore invoicing, ensuring all invoices are precise and submitted promptly.
4. Supervising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to guarantee timely and accurate processing of transactions.
5. Developing and maintaining robust project accounting and reporting systems.
6. Preparing comprehensive financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
7. Ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations concerning construction accounting.
8. Collaborating with project managers and key stakeholders to enhance financial performance and strategic positioning.
9. Identifying and mitigating financial risks while seizing opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred; a Master's Degree or CPA is advantageous.
2. At least 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a comparable role within the construction industry.
3. Expertise in project invoicing, collections, sales tax reporting, and AP/AR management.
4. Strong understanding of project accounting principles and reporting.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
10. Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry regulations and standards.
