Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing all financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Overseeing project collections and ensuring accurate sales tax reporting.
3. Handling Procore invoicing and guaranteeing the accuracy and timeliness of all invoices.
4. Supervising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure efficient transaction processing.
5. Developing and maintaining effective project accounting and reporting systems.
6. Preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
7. Ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to construction accounting.
8. Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to enhance financial performance and strategic positioning.
9. Identifying and managing financial risks and opportunities.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred; a Master’s degree or CPA is advantageous.
2. At least 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar financial role within the construction sector.
3. Proficient in project invoicing (experience with Procore is preferred), project collections, sales tax reporting, and oversight of AP/AR.
4. Strong understanding of project accounting and reporting practices.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Comprehensive understanding of construction industry regulations and standards.
