Sales Development Representative


Parakeet is an outbound sales technology (SaaS) company based out of Boston, MA. We're growing super fast and looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in sourcing net new opportunities through primarily cold calling. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to transition into the martech industry, with prior experience or no experience but looking to get into sales.

Our Search for Stellar Candidates:

  • We're looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and a "will-do-anything" attitude to achieve objectives and deliver results.
  • No prior experience is required; we value coachability and provide extensive hands-on training.
  • The ideal candidates will be proactive, self-motivated, and take initiative throughout the application and interview process.
  • Interview Tip: This is an outbound sales role at an outbound sales tech startup. Impress us by cold calling for your interview.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a high volume of outbound calls to prospective clients, aiming to book qualified sales appointments and demos
  • Effectively deliver cold-call pitches to a high volume of prospects each day
  • Master new cold-call sales pitches, overcome objections, and demonstrate persistence.
  • Qualify leads and gather key information to ensure productive follow-up by the sales team.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Experience in Sales Development or Business Development roles is a plus but not required. We welcome entry-level applicants.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage high call volumes and prioritize outreach efforts effectively.
  • A results-driven mindset focused on meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.


Expectations/Day to Day:

  • Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM EST
  • Make 600+ calls per day
  • Goal: Generate 2-3 new meetings booked per day
