Job Description: Technical Services Manager- Atlas Products



Job Overview: The role acts as the product technical specialist for the Atlas brand. The role holds the primary responsibilities for the management of part data management including part system maintenance, onboarding of new items, new colors warehouses, BOM’s and routings within the ERP system. As the technical services lead the individual is the customer facing point person for customer technical support, and liaison for customers for quality issues through operations, and supply chain. As the brand technical lead, the individual serves on various industry association technical committees and is the lead for administrative management of industry certifications.



Position Summary:

  • Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and advancements in fastener technology.
  • Serve on industry association technical committees such as NFBA, MBMA, and MCA to stay informed and contribute to industry initiatives.
  • Manage industry certification requirements and approval process. (FM, M/D, Florida Building code)
  • Manage customer-facing CAR/quality issues, coordinating with quality, operations, and supply chain teams to address root causes.
  • Assist in new product development and launch efforts with engineering, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Provide technical support and answers to customer inquiries.
  • Assist with customer product and application training sessions.
  • Manage Atlas part maintenance, internal onboarding of parts and SKUs for customers, BOM’s, routings and warehouses within ERP systems.
  • Manage Atlas label database including customer set up and maintenance to assure accurate label information is maintained.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in technical support or related roles, preferably in construction, building products industry.
  • Experience with SQL databases and queries.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for job site issues and customer training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of product development processes, agile methodologies, and project management principles.
  • Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
