SAP Supply Chain Applications Lead

(Primarily remote with occasional office visits during busier periods, as needed).

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Supply Chain Applications Lead to join our client's team This is a full-time, salaried position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and innovate in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.


About the Role:

As the SAP Supply Chain Applications Lead, you will be accountable for leading the enterprise applications team in developing and supporting key supply chain and manufacturing applications, including S/4HANA, Ariba, IBP, Magento, and related analytics solutions. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will define and drive the roadmap for Operations technologies, working closely with leaders in Supply Chain, Operations, and other key functions.


What You’ll Do:


  • Hands-on Configuration: Conduct workshops to gather requirements, configure and test solutions, and lead a small team in the Procure-to-Pay process with a focus on MM, IM, and EWM, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the overall S/4 HANA environment, including integration with IBP and Ariba.
  • Lead and Mentor: Develop and mentor the Supply Chain Applications team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Strategic Leadership: Direct business application strategy, delivery, and support for Supply Chain, Plant Maintenance, and other Operations functions.
  • Process Understanding: Maintain a broad understanding of business workflows, processes, and strategies to align technology with business objectives.
  • Application Development: Lead the design, development, deployment, and support of business applications, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business leaders, process owners, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote self-sufficiency within the end-user population and foster an environment of continual process improvement.
  • Compliance and Problem-Solving: Ensure compliance across the applications portfolio and apply a hands-on approach to problem-solving with a passion for achieving win-win outcomes.


The Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related IT field.
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience leading application support, development, and delivery teams.
  • 5+ years in an IT/enterprise applications management role.
  • 5+ years managing SAP ERP systems with blended onshore/offshore teams.
  • SAP Expertise: Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP, IBP, and Ariba.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, Sales & Operations Planning, Demand Planning, and operations analytics.
  • Leadership: Proven success in leading business transformation initiatives, including migrations to cloud ERP.
  • Communication: Effective and influential presentation and communication skills.
  • Development Methodologies: Strong understanding of software architecture, design, and development methodologies (SDLC, AGILE, SAFe).
  • Best Practices: Knowledgeable in industry, business function, and system best practices.
