About the Company:


The Vice President Talent & Culture will work with the Chief Human Resources Officer on the creation and execution of a vision for an integrated and holistic approach to enhancing organizational culture and talent. Responsible for developing strategies and designing and delivering initiatives that enhance organizational capabilities through learning and development, staff recognition and engagement, and talent management.

Responsible for leading a cultural transformation that integrates Bancroft’s Core Values, and its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion into the fabric of all day-to-day experiences, to create a broad-based sense of belonging that supports retention and business success.


THIS ROLE Requires 3 days onsite in New Jersey.



About the Role


1. Partners with senior leaders to develop and implement talent and culture initiatives that are embraced across the organization, embedded into the fabric of the organization, and reinforced through policies, processes and day-to-day interaction

2. Partners with key stakeholders, and with the support of senior leadership, to create and implement a cultural transformation roadmap, with key milestones and objective measures of success

3. Leads Bancroft’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion by partnering with key stakeholders to create and implement a robust DE&I strategic plan, and actively supports the DE&I Steering Committee

4. Through a robust HR Business Partnership model, monitors and improves employee relations through proactive coaching and mentoring, and constant assessment to identify issues and barriers impacting the employee experience

5. Designs and implements talent management strategies that are aligned with current and future organizational priorities and workforce needs

6. Builds learning and development structure and programs that assess talent and skills and builds relevant competencies, and that deliver capabilities and behaviors to improve business performance and reinforce Core Values

7. Cultivates internal talent pipelines, through purposeful, targeted talent assessments, career pathing and succession planning strategies

8. Works closely with senior leaders to plan and implement organizational development, coaching, mentoring and team building initiatives aimed at enhancing individual and organizational effectiveness

9. Partners with senior leadership to manage major organizational change initiatives

10. Assess and improve performance management processes to ensure candid, developmental feedback is regularly shared as a means to continually improve individual and collective performance

11. Develops and implements strategies to improve employee engagement, promote teamwork, empowerment and a sense of belonging. Actively supports the Core Values Champs Committee, and actively supports other appropriate engagement and culture-related committees and initiatives

12. Creates and delivers impactful recognition strategies that support a culture of belonging and appreciation and reinforces our Core Values

13. Ensures that all new staff orientation and required regulatory education is designed and implemented in a manner that complies with all requirements, is engaging, effectively uses principles of adult learning, successfully builds desired skills and competencies, and is appropriately documented

14. Defines objective key performance indicators and regularly analyzes, reports and improves performance

15. Performs other duties as assigned


Organization-wide Expectations

A. Abides by the Bancroft’s Code of Ethics, Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Core Values in promoting ethical behavior, establishing relationships and providing guidance in decision-making situations.

B. Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements

C. Maintains effective verbal and written communications with colleagues, those served, and their family members and/or guardians when applicable.

D. Willingly and effectively cooperates with Bancroft, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agencies or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.

E. Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation; does not allow weapons, threats, bullying or intimidation.

F. Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs.

G. Maintains levels of supervision as defined in behavior plans, e.g., Individual Program Plan (IPP), Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP), Individual Education Plan (IEP), Individual Service Plan (ISP), etc., when applicable.
