We’ve been retained by a world leading Tier 1 Aerospace & Defense leader to secure a Merger and Acquisitions Analyst (senior/lead level). You’ll look at opportunities for horizontal integration opportunities to grow the business through acquisition. They already have a run rate of 10%+ growth year on year but are looking to utilise their multi-billion USD spending power to amplify this growth.


As the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst you’ll be one of the first hires into this new division and have career development opportunities made available to you all the way to Director level over time. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Aerospace and Defense markets and the ability to conduct business analysis that will form a key part of the strategic planning process for the business over the coming years.


Key responsibilities of the M&A Analyst will be:

  • Conduct market intelligence analysis of the Aerospace/Defense sector (key focus on electronics/electo-mechanical products)
  • Make recommendations on M&A opportunities based on well positioned data analysis
  • Integrate market and competitive trends into presentations and reports that will help shape and influence the strategies of the business.
  • Use fact-based persuasion and passion to influence key stakeholders and influence important decision makers.

Create presentation to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both internal stakeholders and external partners.


The ideal M&A Analyst will have:

  • Education/Certification: B.S. in a Business, Marketing, Engineering discipline required. MBA preferred.
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in strategy, market intelligence, marketing, product management, or business development in the aerospace and defense industry. Previous experience at a management consulting company supporting A&D clients will be considered.
  • Great presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies, adjacent market strategies, product strategies and/or business unit strategies.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Excel. Proficient in Alpha Sense or other competitive intelligence platforms.
  • Technical understanding of aircraft, engine, and defense electronic systems and components targeted at the Aerospace & Defense markets. Hands-on knowledge and experience in marketing, market analysis, strategy, forecasting.


Compensation: Up to $176,000 per annum (DOE)

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Bonus: In addition to the starting salary, this opportunity would have a 15 - 20% bonus.
