Job Summary:

Self Storage is seeking to hire a Pricing & Revenue Analyst to join our team remotely from the Western New York area and support our corporate office located in Birmingham, AL. The Revenue Management Analyst will be responsible for setting and updating storage unit prices at approximately 48+ StoreEase locations. Additionally, this key position will be integral in local market research, budgeting and new location Pro Forma generation.

StoreEase prides itself on the monitoring and deployment of store level pricing and promotions through the use of innovative and analytical techniques both within the storage industry and from without. StoreEase constantly monitors and dynamically updates available storage unit rates so the analyst will use data from these techniques to evaluate and manage these rates, as well as for location forecasts. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, strategic thinker and have a strong analytical mindset.

This position will report to the Director, Marketing & Revenue Management and work closely with the team, implementing proactive solutions, changes as necessary and reporting within the parameters provided by the Director.


Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Daily rental rate monitoring and changes for 48+ locations
  • Interface daily with the company’s revenue management platform to evaluate output and override pricing system recommendations where needed
  • Twice weekly, complete a full review of pricing and promotions for all size cohorts, at all locations
  • Interact daily with the Director, evaluating local market business trends and recommend changes to pricing strategy in response to those trends
  • Propose and evaluate changes to the store promotions and discounts
  • Monthly, existing customer rate increases (ECRIs) - evaluate, adjust and submit, upon Director approval
  • Contribute to any additional revenue-related activities
  • Yearly revenue forecasts and location budget preparation
  • Research and compile 3-to-5-year Pro Forma forecast for new potential storage sites
  • Create, maintain and improve internal reports on operational trends, pricing and promotions efficacy
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics or other quantitative discipline preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience in revenue management, pricing or accounting is necessary, however, training will be provided


Useful Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Prorize, Radius+, ESRI or Yardi, A++
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Doc Spreadsheets; experience using advanced functions such as formulas, shortcut keys and formatting/charting features is a plus
