Since our inception, we have managed approximately 48 self-storage sites and support over 150 locations through our SaaS platform across multiple states. Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Pricing Strategy Specialist to work remotely from the Western New York region, supporting our corporate operations. This pivotal role involves establishing and adjusting storage unit pricing across our extensive network of StoreEase locations. The Pricing Analyst will play a crucial role in conducting local market analysis, budgeting, and generating Pro Forma reports for new locations.
At StoreEase, we emphasize the strategic monitoring and implementation of pricing and promotional strategies using advanced analytical techniques both within and outside the storage sector. The analyst will leverage data from these methodologies to assess and manage pricing structures, as well as to forecast location performance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a strong analytical aptitude.
This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Revenue Management and will collaborate closely with the team to implement proactive strategies, adapt to changes as necessary, and provide insights within the framework established by the Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust rental rates daily for over 48 locations.
- Engage with the company's revenue management platform to assess outputs and modify pricing recommendations as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of pricing and promotions bi-weekly for all size categories across all locations.
- Collaborate with the Director to analyze local market trends and suggest pricing strategy adjustments accordingly.
- Evaluate and propose modifications to store promotions and discounts.
- Assess and submit monthly existing customer rate increases for approval.
- Contribute to additional revenue-related initiatives.
- Prepare annual revenue forecasts and location budgets.
- Research and compile 3-to-5-year Pro Forma forecasts for potential new storage sites.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance internal reports on operational trends, pricing strategies, and promotional effectiveness.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in revenue management, pricing, or accounting is required; however, training will be provided.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Prorize, Radius+, ESRI, or Yardi is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs, with experience in advanced functions such as formulas and data visualization techniques.
- Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated learner with the capacity to quickly grasp new concepts through independent research and a willingness to challenge conventional approaches.
