Position Summary: The Category Leadership Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Category and Sales Teams by utilizing category, customer, and market insights to create data-driven reports, compelling category narratives, and tailored recommendations for customer strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the West Area Category Leadership and Sales Teams.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports to uncover insights, highlight opportunities, and propose solutions.
  • Analyze diverse data types, including retailer, syndicated, panel, and loyalty card data to pinpoint business challenges and opportunities.
  • Support new product initiatives and retail activation efforts.
  • Formulate recommendations for assortment, pricing, promotions, and shelving based on assessments of consumers, suppliers, markets, and retailers.
  • Identify essential metrics and methodologies for conducting assortment analyses by category and brand.
  • Engage with customers on shelving strategies, planogram alignment, and implementation specifics.
  • Contribute to planogram development and evaluate shelf performance against set objectives and strategies.
  • Provide insights for customer category reviews, strategies, and plans.
  • Create presentations for the sales team from a category perspective.
  • Offer analytical and technical support to the sales team to derive insights into challenges and opportunities.
  • Deliver skill training to enhance team capabilities.


Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects.
  • Effective time management and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid familiarity with Circana (formerly IRI Unify).
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).
