Corporate Services & Travel Operations Manager


A global investment bank is hiring for a Corporate Services Operations Manager to manage the travel and expense management staff. This role will be responsible for overseeing corporate services functions including vendor relationships, and travel and expense management. This role will ensure efficient and cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.


The ideal candidate has specific experience with travel/expense management, is a creative problem solver with excellent attention to detail. This role requires direct people management experience, effective communication and coordination with vendors globally.


Salary commensurate with experience: $145-165k base + discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including fully paid benefits, 401k, PTO


The office is in Midtown East, NYC and the role is onsite/hybrid Monday – Thursday, with flexibility if needed


Job Description

  • Manage relationships with Corporate Services vendors including travel, expense management, office supplies, shipping, and other office-related items.
  • Review and negotiate contracts for products and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor vendor performance, contract compliance KPI management, and service model enhancements.
  • Review and recommend new vendors and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Directly manage up to 2 team members.
  • Serve as point escalation for internal clients to address travel and expense issues.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful delivery of the Firms’ Travel and Expense Management program and companies to ensure best rates and service levels.
  • Maintain and monitor firmwide expense management system(s) and manage corporate credit card programs.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and conduct regular audits of travel and expense reports.
  • Use data insights to inform and support broader business decisions ,and identify trends.
  • Ensure alignment between the Corporate Services budget and firm-wide cost savings initiatives.
  • Enhance spend transparency across the global corporate services platform.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all audit controls, reporting processes and policies (e.g. SOX controls), and maintain a document filing repository that allows for presentations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Prior experience managing a team is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in travel management, expense reporting, data analysis, or related roles.
  • Certification in travel management (e.g., Certified Corporate Travel Executive - CCTE) is a preferred qualification, not required
  • Experience with Concur, Oversight or other travel and expense management systems is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors globally.
