THE OPPORTUNITY

The Desire Company is seeking a qualified sales development representative (SDR) to join our high-performing sales team. This individual will find and educate potential customers who can benefit from our services, and act as the first line of communication with prospects. The SDR must have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales team up for success. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong communication skills with the ability to showcase our differentiated offering in a compelling way.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Utilize Salesforce, LinkedIn, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to Sales Manager


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience as a sales development rep with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Organized, adaptable, and coachable
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and the online shopping ecosystem is a plus
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Salesloft, and other CRM software preferred
