Role Overview:


As an Estimator at LCS, you will play a vital role in shaping our construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, developing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with Project Management and Business Development teams. If you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a collaborative team environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze project requirements, review drawings and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
  • Evaluate labor, material, and time requirements to determine project costs.
  • Compile and present estimates and descriptive information clearly and effectively.
  • Prepare reports and bids for submission to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update a cost database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Produce cost forecasts to assist in project planning.
  • Conduct field visits to job sites to gather project data.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Explore value analysis/engineering opportunities to enhance project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements by attending workshops and reviewing technical publications.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • 5-10 years of experience as Construction Estimator, with specific experience in design-build, ground-up, and tenant improvement projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field.
  • Understanding of design-build delivery and conceptual estimating.
  • Proficiency in Timberline and BidMail (Bid Management Software).
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and leveraging technology to enhance performance.
