Position Overview:
This role is centered around the management and oversight of estimating activities for various construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, interpretation, and presentation of estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall planning and execution of estimating tasks for specific construction initiatives.
  • Review project specifications and drawings, participate in pre-estimate meetings, and analyze requests for proposals to define the scope of work and necessary contents of the estimate.
  • Provide both conceptual and final estimating insights on complex projects.
  • Assess labor and construction equipment costs accurately.
  • Conduct precise quantity takeoffs and material pricing.
  • Maintain all working documents and data effectively.
  • Monitor awarded contracts as needed, which may involve estimating and pricing additional work items, change orders, and procuring materials for major work items.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and at least 10 years of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Field experience is considered an advantage.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prepare intricate proposals with minimal oversight and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and subcontractor requirements.
