Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implements policies and procedures for assessing, meeting, and evaluating patient care needs.
  • Provides individualized customer service/patient care based on needs.
  • Manages resources within budget guidelines, prepares budgets, and takes corrective actions on variances.
  • Develops cost-saving processes and adjusts staffing to meet patient care needs and budgets.
  • Motivates and influences staff, sets high standards, and recognizes excellence.
  • Prepares candidates for succession planning and promotional opportunities.
  • Maintains compliance with accreditation standards and takes responsibility for difficult decisions.
  • Develops project plans, prioritizes resources, analyzes problems, and proposes innovative solutions.
  • Clearly communicates policies, provides performance expectations, and follows through on concerns.
  • Creates a feedback-friendly environment and consults on major changes.
  • Stroke Program: Maintains standards, collaborates on protocols, provides expert consultation, ensures compliance, coordinates care and education, and analyzes outcomes.
  • Trauma Program: Develops trauma care goals, chairs the Emergency/Trauma Committee, coordinates policies, represents the program, manages incidents and quality issues, and supervises data collection and accuracy.

Salary:

  • Starting at $90,000 and increases based on work history/experience


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in area(s) of expertise; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Current valid RN License, valid compact multistate license, or temporary permit while awaiting licensure required.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within three months of hire.
  • Knowledge of specific clinical/technical area(s), healthcare delivery, and management principles typically acquired through post-secondary education in a related field.
