Builders Capital is currently looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The Senior Systems Administrator will maintain and optimize the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of systems and technologies at the Cleveland office. This includes proactively troubleshooting technical issues, implementing upgrades and patches, and safeguarding data security. Additionally, they will actively address inbound support tickets, resolving them promptly and efficiently.

Day To Day:

  • Regularly check system logs, performance metrics, and security alerts to ensure optimal operation and identify potential issues.
  • Diagnose and fix hardware, software, network, or server issues that arise, minimizing downtime and impact on users.
  • Plan and execute updates to systems, applications, and firmware to improve performance, security, and functionality.
  • Create, modify, and delete user accounts, ensuring appropriate access levels and permissions for different roles.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation on system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure an exceptional new employee experience by proactively ensuring team members are set up for success with the required hardware and software.

Education And Experience:

  • Minimum three years experience in helpdesk or demonstrated equivalent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in supporting end users in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
  • Experience in Microsoft Security Suite, Office 365, MS365 Cloud administration, Azure Active Directory, ITSM experience with ticketing, asset management, and knowledgebase, Intune/Endpoint management, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience in supporting LAN/WAN/WiFi environments; preferably with Forti-net network solutions, bonus if you have experience with Ubiquiti as well.
  • Experience in Operating system support, i.e. PC – Windows 10 & 11, MACOS – 13. x and 14. x.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
  • Preferred: Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.

  • Proven track record of creating solutions in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to understand a complex environment, and determine the needs, vulnerabilities, and opportunities.
  • Ability to easily explain complex technical solutions in layman’s terms.
  • Strong focus on collaboration, education, and knowledge development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to take a big-picture view of the entire environment.
