  • Preferred certification in various types of ultrasounds (i.e., ObGyn, Vascular, Breast and Abdominal)

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking to hire an Ultrasound Tech in the Miami, FL area. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll operate specialized imaging equipment to create high-quality images of various parts of the body. Responsibilities include ensuring proper equipment settings, capturing images according to physician specifications, and reviewing images for clarity.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing sonography equipment to identify areas of concern, adhering to established standard positions for procedures to enhance scanning accuracy.
  • Prepare the exam room before and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, sterilization protocols, and comfort.
  • Document patient data in logs and maintain complete, relevant information in RIS, PACS, and other reporting systems.
  • Recognize and document medical necessity, including signs, symptoms, and relevant history, aiding in exam performance.
  • Regularly maintain sonography equipment and review supplies and probe sterilization.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as form completion, area labeling, and log maintenance.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure quality and minimize repeat procedures.
  • Verify patient identity and confirm orders based on physician prescriptions.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Provide thorough imaging and written documentation for high-quality patient care, including comparisons with prior relevant studies.
  • Record all scanned images, noting variations from normal size and accompanying measurements.
  • Follow company policies and imaging protocols set by AIUM/ACR accreditation bodies in conjunction with the medical director.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
