Job Summary: The Multifamily Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of multifamily properties, ensuring they operate efficiently, remain profitable, and achieve the firm's financial and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multifamily real estate markets, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of successful asset management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of multifamily properties, ensuring they meet financial performance targets and operational standards.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor property performance metrics, analyze financial statements, and implement strategies to maximize NOI (Net Operating Income) and overall asset value.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for each property, ensuring alignment with the firm's financial goals.
  • Tenant Relations: Maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns promptly to ensure high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.
  • Capital Improvements: Identify and manage capital improvement projects to enhance property value and appeal, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about local real estate trends, competitive properties, and emerging opportunities.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed asset management reports to senior management and investors, highlighting key performance indicators, variances, and strategic recommendations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with property management teams, leasing agents, and other internal departments to achieve property and company goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-9 years of experience in multifamily asset management or related roles within the real estate industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing the performance of multifamily properties.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to properties within the portfolio as needed.
