Human Resources Manager

We are currently searching for an experienced HR Manager for our client. This individual will focus on a wide variety of HR related duties while working closely with HR leadership and leadership of our future Chicago Tech Center. This position carries out a variety of responsibilities including: recruitment/employment, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Design and implement HR strategies that support our business objectives and drive organizational success.
- HR Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to management, aligning HR initiatives with business needs and providing expert guidance on HR matters.
- Employee Relations: Oversee performance management, conflict resolution, and employee investigations, ensuring a supportive and fair workplace.
- Training and Development: Develop and manage training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Retention and Engagement: Create and implement strategies to retain top talent and maintain high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
- HR Systems and Compliance: Manage our HRIS, ensure adherence to employment laws, and oversee onboarding and new hire processes.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment and pre-hire processes to attract and secure top talent for our growing team.
- Project Management: Lead special HR projects and initiatives that drive continuous improvement in our HR practices and organizational effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 6-10 years of HR experience with some background at the manager level preferred. Industry experience is a plus. HR Management: 4 years (required) and Manufacturing industry: 2 years (required)
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, with experience in performance management, HRIS, and recruitment. At least 2 years of Paycom experience and Excel expertise.
- Skills: Exceptional communication and time management skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
