Contribute to the overall success of the business by developing, implementing and administering effective Human Resource policies and programs relating to compensation, benefits, employee relations, labor relations, selection and recruitment, employee training and development, safety, HRIS, security, facility management and compliance with local, state and Federal employment laws and regulations.

Talent Management:

  • Direct efforts in recruitment, selection and retention of employees.
  • Plan and control the headcount, responsible for hiring and introduction process across the company
  • Identify training and development needs in cooperation with the department managers
  • People Program oversight
  • Train the employees on People Programs and follow the process of completion


Staffing

  • Recruit, interview, and drive the selection process
  • Assist management in determining appropriate staffing levels, recruitment resources, and objective selection techniques
  • Responsible for new hire orientation


Employee Relations:

  • Maintain employee handbook
  • Partners with legal counsel, where applicable
  • Provide guidance and counsel to employees and supervisors relative to policy administration and interpretation.
  • Conducts investigations as needed


Policy development & Compliance

  • HR Policy development, implementation and administration.
  • Direct implementation of EEO activities and other efforts to comply with local, state and Federal employment laws and regulations


Compensation & Benefits

  • Drive HR process improvement on the regional level, including partnering with the US/Korea, business and line management and US internal and external partners.
  • Disseminate information to Divisions
  • Set up and follow up the company policies
  • (Re)Grading of all positions
  • Review job evaluation/re-evaluations as needed and keeps position profiles up to date for all active positions.
  • Advises and assists managers and supervisors in all job or salary related problems or issues
  • Manage preparations for monthly / year-end reports as needed to meet local and corporate requirements
  • Manages annual Benefit Renewal process with broker


EHS:

  • Assist and monitor the Safety Committee Team
  • Review periodic Safety Inspections


Data Management

  • Direct the payroll-based Human Resource Information System (HRIS) (new hires/terms, address changes, direct deposit changes, etc.) either personally or though subordinate.
  • Supervise monthly headcount reports for HRIS team and Finance and other reports as requested.
  • Conduct the Compensation Process (annual merit increase/promotion session) in coordination with Sr. Mgt
  • Manage and lead special projects as required.


Expatriate Management

  • Vendor relationship with tax consultant, immigration and relocation agencies. Ensure required documentation is in place e.g. visas and invitation letters. Work with consultants and payrolls to ensure legal compliance of Company in home and host countries with respect to taxation, relocation etc.
  • Make sure the Global Mobility policy and procedure is followed and respected across organization
  • Coordination between host and home country and make them understand & follow the process


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 10-15 years directly related HR experience
  • HR Certifications preferred
  • Manufacturing & employee relations skills as well as negotiation and organization development experience required.
  • Extremely well-versed in US Federal and multi-state employment laws governing employee relations practices, payroll, FLSA, etc.
  • Proven past experience in training and development of individuals and teams
  • Strong knowledge of key areas and best practices in HR (Employee Relations, Comp & Ben, Payroll, Recruiting).
  • Demonstrated ability to support the development of a high performance manufacturing organization.
  • Broad HR Generalist skills, including: compensation and benefits, organizational development, safety and health; labor relations; employment law, etc.
