Job Description:

Position Overview: As an Operations Manager at Neonline Logistics, you will be responsible for

overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our biopharmaceutical transportation and logistics

services. You will lead a team that handles the delicate and critical shipments of biopharma

products, including managing the safe transport of UN3373 labeled materials, international

document preparation, and dry ice labeling. Your leadership, specialized knowledge, and

strategic vision will be crucial to achieving operational excellence in this highly regulated and

sensitive field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Biopharma Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of biopharmaceutical logistics, including the safe handling of UN3373 labeled materials and compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a specialized team of Dispatchers, Drivers, and Operations Coordinators focused on biopharma logistics.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage day-to-day biopharma logistics operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of sensitive materials.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to strict regulatory guidelines and safety standards for pharmaceutical shipments.
  • Document Preparation: Oversee the preparation of international shipping documents and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Dry Ice Labeling: Manage the proper labeling and handling of dry ice shipments, maintaining temperature-sensitive biopharma products.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency in biopharma logistics.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a strong focus on customer service, resolving issues, and ensuring the utmost client satisfaction in the biopharmaceutical sector.


Operational Excellence:

  • Acquires and applies professional/technical knowledge, skills, experience and judgment to accomplish results that contribute to the strategic business plans.
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve operational processes, defines structure and increases productivity.
  • Reviews and analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly reports for accuracy, trends, and areas needing development.
  • Supports the sales team in calls where operational expertise is required.
  • Educates self and others regarding product offerings consistently.
  • Assists Director of Operations with operational budget.
  • Analyzes and reports on performance of the business unit to ensure that budget performance measures are met/exceeded.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Leads and communicates goals, team objectives and priorities.
  • Develops and produces a highly motivated team.
  • Responsible for team member selection, hiring and training; reviews and retention of team members.
  • Applies expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to staff and associates.
  • Encourages subordinates to strive for operational excellence by continually challenging old methods or ways of thinking and taking responsible risks to maximize results; serves as a role model in innovative thinking and in focusing on quality within work.


Other Skills:

  • Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to function within a group dynamic individuals; obtaining an in-depth understanding of the diverse needs of each client and assume ownership of growing the business.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, requires the ability to self-direct, and work without supervision.
  • Ability to balance multiple duties at once while still maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to mentor direct reports and increase productivity through performance management.
  • Strong follow up skills.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Previous Experience: Proven experience in biopharmaceutical logistics and operations management.
  • Biopharma Knowledge: In-depth understanding of biopharma courier requirements, UN3373 labeling, international document preparation, and dry ice labeling.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities, particularly in the specialized field of biopharmaceutical logistics.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement operational strategies tailored to the biopharma sector.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with software systems and technology used in biopharmaceutical logistics.
  • Customer Service: A commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients in the highly sensitive biopharma industry.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions in the biopharma logistics field.
