The QA Engineer will play a crucial role in the development process by designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. They will also be familiar with CI/CD tools and version control systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, QTP, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate testing tasks and improve testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Conduct thorough testing throughout the SDLC, ensuring seamless integration of testing with Agile and DevOps processes.
  • Use CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitLab CI to automate testing and deployment processes.
  • Manage and maintain version control systems like Git for test scripts and related code.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Ensure the quality of the software product through rigorous testing, including functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and practices to enhance product quality.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in software testing.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) to automate testing tasks.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps processes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with performance and security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
