Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Chemist to join our team at Actalent. As a Quality Assurance Chemist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing various types of raw material and finished goods testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Testing and Quality Control: Perform various types of raw material and finished goods testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Data Analysis: Record basic data and perform intermediate data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
  • Release and Authorization: Responsible for raw material and finished goods release, with authorization, as applicable.
  • Chemical Analysis: Conduct basic wet chemistry, extractions, and sample prep to analyze the chemical composition of materials.
  • Pipetting and Instrumentation: Utilize pipetting skills and maintain most lab instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • GC Analysis: Utilize GC for analysis to identify and quantify chemical compounds.
  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Enter data daily into the ERP system and maintain most lab instruments to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Batch Record Review: Review batch records, as applicable, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Procedure Development: Follow and aid in the creation of all procedures and SOPs/forms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Quality Documentation: Maintain proper quality documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Certificate of Analysis: Generate and review Certificates of Analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Nonconformity Reporting: Report any nonconformities by following applicable SOPs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Supplier Qualification: Perform supplier qualification tests, as applicable, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Method Validation: Assist with method validation process and perform method transfers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Sample Collection and Preparation: Collect samples, prepare shipments, and inspect raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
