Job Summary:
- Lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, leveraging technical expertise to optimize equipment reliability, streamline processes, and propel the company's manufacturing capabilities to new heights.
Job Duties:
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Serve as a technical authority, providing guidance on engineering, maintenance, equipment processes, and production.
- Engineer and implement robust controls, strategies, and solutions to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiencies.
- Spearhead reliability initiatives, including root cause analysis, breakdown analysis, and MTBF analysis.
- Develop and deploy predictive maintenance and situational awareness technologies.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to optimize preventative maintenance programs.
- Lead the planning and execution of capital projects, working closely with engineers and project managers.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the entire facility.
- Reverse engineer and source critical components in collaboration with plant vendors.
- Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, or manufacturing) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering and manufacturing experience.
- Proven leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of technical development and teamwork.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, including scoping, budgeting, planning, design, build, and integration.
- Proficiency in using tools, strategies, and data to solve complex technical issues.
- Hands-on experience with automated equipment (PLCs, instrumentation, actuators, valves, pumps, motors, and mechanisms).
- Ability to read, interpret, and update engineering schematics (mechanical, P&ID, and electrical).
- Experience with CMMS software and PLC programming (preferred).
