Job Purpose:

The Senior Aseptic Processing Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical execution and support of aseptic processing technologies. This position requires providing expert solutions and insights into processing operations, engineering challenges, and UHT reliability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage strategic technical projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Act as a primary resource and expert in UHT processing across various disciplines, ensuring product quality and equipment reliability.
  • Develop sustainable engineering solutions utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve recurring operational issues.
  • Work closely with vendors to reverse engineer critical components of processing equipment.
  • Ensure that quality parts are produced according to specifications and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Plan and implement processing technical projects, managing budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and processing departments to optimize performance and resolve variances.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility, utilizing data-driven approaches to identify root causes.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Aseptic and dairy processing experience, particularly with UHT systems, is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in resource organization, operational analysis, and policy formulation. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are crucial for effective collaboration within a diverse team.

Familiarity with PLC logic, VFDs, and computerized information systems is advantageous. Candidates should be capable of interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift weights up to 40 lbs, and work at heights as necessary.


Location:

This position is based in Webster, NY, reporting to the Director of Engineering.


Travel Requirements:

Travel may be required up to 50% in the initial year, decreasing thereafter.


Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $165,000, with a comprehensive benefits package available.
