Worrell Contracting Co., Inc was founded on January 1, 1998. In 2000, Worrell Contracting was legally formed as a corporation. Worrell Contracting is a certified Serviced Disabled Veteran-Owned Business contractor, North Carolina and SBA HUBZone certified contractor and a Licensed General Highway and Public Utilities (Water & Sewer Lines) Contractor for the State of North Carolina. We maintain the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honesty, and fairness in our relationships with our suppliers, subcontractors, professional associates and customers.

 

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee our construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, budget, schedule, resources, and timelines.
  2. Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring adherence to project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  3. Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to ensure projects stay within budget constraints.
  4. Create project schedules, set milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work and adherence to deadlines.
  5. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety of workers and preventing delays or cost overruns.
  6. Enforce quality standards and ensure that work meets specifications and regulatory requirements, conducting inspections and addressing any issues that arise.
  7. Serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, and keep them informed about project progress and any changes.
  8. Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other parties involved in the project, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  9. Identify problems or obstacles that may arise during construction and develop solutions to keep the project on track.
  10. Lead and motivate a team of professionals, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to work together effectively towards project goals.
  11. Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, permits, contracts, and reports, to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate future reference.
  12. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the completed project.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field; or 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and solve problems creatively.
