Job Overview: We are seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of construction projects from initiation to completion. This role demands strong leadership skills, impeccable organization, and a deep understanding of construction processes. The Site Superintendent ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the construction project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  2. Supervision: Direct and supervise onsite construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is executed according to project plans and specifications.
  3. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets project requirements and industry standards.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Monitor daily construction activities, track progress, and address any issues or delays that may arise to keep the project on schedule.
  6. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction team, project stakeholders, and management, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  7. Problem Solving: Identify potential obstacles or challenges and develop proactive solutions to mitigate risks and keep the project on track.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and relevant documentation.
  9. Cost Management: Monitor project expenses, track costs, and identify opportunities to optimize spending to ensure the project stays within budget.
  10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, environmental requirements, and other applicable laws and regulations throughout the construction process.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field; or graduate from a technical school in a construction related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Completion of the 30-hour OSHA certification (preferred).
