We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Operations Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The project manager will be responsible for expediting project timelines, execution of tasks through cross-functional team members, managing logistics, and coordinating inspections as needed.


The role will require strong project management skills and attention to detail to ensure successful execution of projects. Helping to optimize our manufacturing processes, keeping team members accountable for execution of tasks, maintaining timelines and hosting update meetings.


The Manufacturing Operations Project Manager will be responsible for hosting required meetings with execution team and provide regular updates to leadership on the progress of assigned projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Processes: Spearhead the development and integration of new manufacturing processes, technologies or equipment, conducting feasibility studies and overseeing the installation and initial operation phases to ensure they meet project specifications and enhance production capabilities.
  • Project planning: drive planning process, clearly defining the project's scope, goals, and objectives. They develop detailed plans outlining tasks, resources, timelines, and deliverables, creating a solid foundation for project execution.
  • Team coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, quality, and production to ensure project requirements are met and to resolve any technical challenges. Promote collaboration, resolving conflicts, and leading effective team meetings.
  • Key coordination: Manufacturing Engineering: Establishment and maintenance of standard work instructions, quality control procedures, and safety protocols for manufacturing operations. Supply Chain: Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure material flow sustains during transitions and proper inventory management is attained. Production: Lead manufacturing to execute on changes and reach production targets under scope of change.
  • Risk management: Identify potential risks early, analyze possible impact, and develop mitigation strategies, to minimize disruptions to the project’s schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Team and Leadership communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with and stakeholders. Provide updates, respond to inquiries, and use feedback to adapt project scope to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Maintaining quality standards: PMs drive and monitor quality control processes, with process owners to ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon standards and satisfy end customer requirements. This helps maintain project integrity.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations preferably in the consumer goods or appliance industry.
  • Role requires experience creating, setting up, overhauling, and/or transferring processes in a manufacturing environment, and having the track record of effectively oversee manufacturing projects from conception to completion
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, process improvement, operational planning and leadership abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to use program/project management software
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software is a plus.
