Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring the efficient production of goods to meet customer demands. This role involves overseeing the production team, managing resources, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material acquisition to final product delivery.
  • Ensure production schedules are met, and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor production metrics and KPIs, adjusting plans as needed to meet targets.
  • Supervise and lead a team of production supervisors, operators, and other manufacturing personnel.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve product quality, and lower production costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to implement improvements and resolve production issues.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring costs are controlled and financial targets are met.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of production equipment.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all staff members.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on production status and any issues that may impact operations.
  • Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.


Requirements:

  • Supervision background in manufacturing environment
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Six Sigma experience is a plus
