Your Mission:

As the Athletic Director, you will be the driving force behind our athletic department’s ascent to national prominence. You will seamlessly integrate strategic innovation with community engagement, lead groundbreaking facilities enhancements, and champion the comprehensive development of our athletes. This role demands a dynamic leader ready to shape the future of our sports programs and elevate every facet of our athletic offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Injury and Illness Management: Oversee comprehensive care for all injuries and illnesses sustained by student-athletes, ensuring their health and well-being.
  2. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed medical files for each student-athlete, documenting all care provided.
  3. Event Coverage: Coordinate Athletic Trainer (AT) coverage for all high-risk sports home games/events and as many away contests as necessary.
  4. Practice Support: Provide on-campus practice support and be on call for off-campus practices.
  5. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with trainers, team physicians, health services, coaches, athletes, and parents.
  6. Compliance and Standards: Adhere to CAAHEP, NATA Code of Ethics, Department of Health Guidelines, and NAIA Code of Ethics.
  7. Facility Maintenance: Maintain sports medicine facilities and equipment to the highest standards.
  8. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the sports medicine budget effectively.
  9. Injury Prevention: Assist head coaches with injury prevention strategies and physical conditioning.
  10. Event Assistance: Support special events, tournaments, championships, fundraisers, and clinics.
  11. Equipment Coordination: Prepare inventory lists for Fall orders and coordinate with the AD for equipment servicing or replacement.
  12. Team Dynamics: Foster positive relationships within the athletics staff and student-athletes, ensuring respect, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
  13. Health Roster Management: Oversee and update the Healthy Roster system for coaches, compliance, and emergencies.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirement: Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification: National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a collegiate athletic training setting.
