Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donor Services Coordinator to join our University Advancement team. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, a positive attitude, and the energy to implement new strategies and achieve ambitious goals. This role requires advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system and strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

CRM Management:

  • Provide CRM database queries, exports, and reports to extract, analyze, and report data to the fundraising team.
  • Generate reports and lists for all advancement-related programming, mailings, and events.
  • Create queries to respond to University philanthropic initiatives, ensuring data accuracy.


Gift Processing:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of gift processing, tax receipting, gift reporting, and records management.
  • Direct accounting and receipting for all gifts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


Prospect Research:

  • Conduct data mining, prospect research, and data analysis.
  • Create clear and concise prospect profile summaries that analyze and evaluate a prospect's biographical, business, and financial resources.


Annual Giving Support:

  • Assist with annual giving communication and engagement strategies, including segmented donor engagement lists.


Event and Payment Coordination:

  • Facilitate transactional forms for event registration, online giving, and payments in coordination with vendors and appropriate campus departments.


Technology Liaison:

  • Serve as liaison with the Office of Information Technology Services.
  • Propose, prioritize, and coordinate software projects.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a non-profit, higher education environment, or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
  • Strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrating strong ethics.
  • Advanced knowledge and/or prior use of Raiser’s Edge or CRM equivalent.
  • Ability to evaluate existing programs and recommend new activities, policies, or procedures.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with alumni, donors, students, businesses, and the general public.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to function with a high level of independence and discretion.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge 7.
