SVC specializes in both marine and land use issues; site planning, project design, project coordination, regulatory permitting, project planning management; marine, wetland, and stream ecology; habitat restoration; wetland, stream, tree, and eelgrass delineations and assessments; benthic surveys; underwater and terrestrial-monitoring programs, mitigation planning, landscape architecture, and arborist services.


Soundview Consultants has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Project Coordinator to join our growing team Here at SVC, we give you the flexibility to take care of yourself. Description:


The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing capacity support to our project managers and internal staff. This role will require strong professional coordination, multi-tasking skills, and experience in utilization planning or deploying of multiple FTEs. As a liaison between the Project Managers, Clients, and the internal team, it is critical to ensure that communication is thorough, both verbal and written. Daily responsibilities that will require these skills include but are not limited to scheduling field efforts reflecting utilization efficiencies, uploading and tracking of tasks to internal programs, tracking of team commitment due dates, and coordination of project components in assistance to the project managers. You’ll be learning project scoping and collaborating with multiple team members daily.


Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinates all field personnel and vehicle/equipment needs such as facilitating the use of company vehicles, checking out equipment, ensuring equipment/materials needed are available by field day, coordination of field team accommodations such as hotels, and field staff selection and assignments based on best-fit methodologies.
  • Review and track assigned professional staff’s capacity optimizing utilization;
  • Work closely with Design Lead to ensure mapping and design needs are prioritized and completed successfully by client due dates;
  • Maintain staff scientists Smartsheet for efficient utilization;
  • Assist with time entries and project expense entries weekly;
  • Check point verifications prior to deploying team to field efforts per SVC standards;
  • Assign technical writers based on project specs and deliverable schedules;
  • Coordination with team of project schedules, client correspondence, and regulatory meetings maintained throughout the project life cycle;
  • Coordinate next steps & follow up of assignments with the assigned project work groups;
  • Filing, prioritizing, and categorizing emails to ensure project awareness, overview, and reminders in support of Project Managers;
  • Submitting and tracking permits and completing other agency requirements showing follow through and competence;
  • Support multiple Smartsheet workflows;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and experience:

  • 2-3 years experience in a coordinator position
  • Experience with organizational management and team coordination;
  • Proficiency in Outlook, including calendar and tasks, and Word;
  • Proficiency with Deltek VantagePoint
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and daily workload to completion;
  • Judgment and decision-making ability with attention to detail;
  • Situational adaptability based on business and team needs;
  • Proficiency in English, and communicate at an expert level;
  • Detail oriented, critical thinker, with follow through, and
  • Adherence to Company Policies and Employee Handbook is required.
