About the Company:

We are a prominent engineering consulting firm dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in civil engineering, land surveying, and land planning. Our organization is currently seeking a skilled Project Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and project management.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing various engineering projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines. This role requires a proactive and self-driven individual with a strong desire to contribute to an expanding engineering practice. A Professional Engineer license or the capability to obtain one within a year is essential, along with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and extensive experience in civil design and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, managing budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Conduct quality control for civil design calculations and plan sheets across diverse projects.
  • Facilitate design review meetings with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate civil designs with other engineering disciplines such as architecture and structural engineering.
  • Regularly meet with design teams to discuss project progress and address any challenges.
  • Evaluate construction costs, regulatory requirements, and environmental considerations during project planning.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide detailed construction cost estimates and project analyses.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software to create projects that meet industry standards.

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred or the ability to obtain it within 12 months.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in civil site design, stormwater management, and utility modeling.
  • A strong motivation for professional growth and increased responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with local jurisdictions in the Western Washington area is advantageous.
