Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will exhibit the ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively within a design team, ensuring exceptional engineering services and solutions across various project types. Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing projects and managing associated budgets from inception to completion.
  • Conducting quality control for civil design calculations and plan sheets across multiple projects.
  • Leading or participating in design review meetings with consultants, regulatory agencies, and clients.
  • Coordinating civil designs with other disciplines, including architecture, traffic, geotechnical, structural, and landscaping.
  • Regularly meeting with design teams to discuss project progress, status, and challenges.
  • Evaluating construction costs, regulatory requirements, potential environmental impacts, and other factors in project planning and risk assessment.
  • Preparing and submitting permit applications to local and state agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Providing construction cost estimates and conducting project analyses.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software to plan and design projects in accordance with industry and governmental standards.

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience in civil engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Expertise in civil site design, stormwater facility analysis, and utility modeling, along with the ability to develop drainage and other reports.
  • Strong motivation for career advancement and increased responsibilities
  • Experience collaborating with local jurisdictions in Western Washington is preferred
