As a Sales Professional, you will play a crucial role in developing, expanding, and cultivating our client base by employing various marketing practices, including entertainment, referrals, advertising, trade shows, cold calls, warm leads, and other activities. You will serve as the primary external representative, conveying a sense of expertise in our services and capabilities, and act as a key educator for our accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Development: Utilize diverse marketing strategies to develop and expand the client base.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients through entertainment, referrals, advertising, trade shows, cold calls, warm leads, and other activities.
  • Job Estimation and Proposals: Estimate jobs and prepare proposals with pricing in accordance with company policy.
  • Sales Goals Management: Develop, submit, implement, manage, and report on sales goals and business development plans in line with company policies and systems.
  • Revenue Accountability: Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and sales goals while supporting the company’s vision and mission.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Solicit and establish customer needs through various marketing avenues.
  • Proposal Submission: Submit estimates to management for approval with detailed notes and pictures.
  • CRM Maintenance: Continually update customer relationship management software.
  • Work Order Management: Update work orders for production.
  • Permitting Assistance: Work with the permitting department and assist in obtaining necessary permits.
  • Site Marking: Mark repairs on the job site.
  • Customer Concerns: Respond to and investigate customer concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with completed work.
  • Invoicing and Collections: Invoice customers and collaborate with the collection team when necessary.
  • Lead Follow-Up: Follow up on leads promptly and effectively.
  • Networking: Participate in trade shows, networking events, and customer lunches to build relationships and ask for referrals.
  • On-Site Sales: Conduct sales at the customer’s place of business.


Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 2-4 years of work experience in outside sales, specifically B2B sales.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in the paving industry.
  • Previous experience with cold calls and in-person prospecting
  • Experience in construction sales is a plus.
