General Manager

Responsible for leading and driving Business Operations, Team and Employee Development, Business Development, Customer Relations, Strategy and Industry Relations for the NDT business in both a safe working environment and in compliance with company quality standards, policies, procedures, and expectations to ensure annual budget execution and organic growth.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Know and manage the NDT Operations through effective use of the local and regional operations management teams, assessing departmental results and monthly financials, and develop specific actions directly related to business development and growth.
  • Know and understand the NDT business including detailed operational structure and analytics to understand customer pricing, locations and operational performance to be able to apply it to budget achievement and organic growth.
  • Lead and direct the development of NDT sales goals and action plans for teams directly tied into measurable results and timely and consistent execution.
  • Review NDT performance against operating plans, analyze market conditions and approve changes in plan directions.
  • Lead, manage, and foster an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture with all departments and direct reports including Operations, Safety, Quality, Human Resources, and Finance.
  • Mentor team members including individual employee development, goal setting, and general guidance to ensure an engaged workforce.
  • Maintain operational excellence for the Aerospace Division by measuring key performance indicators such as client satisfaction, sales goals, revenue, adjusted operating profit, corporate initiatives and targets, operational execution and employee retention through the balanced scorecard approach.
  • Assure and maintain customer engagement aimed at quality, ideas, development and acknowledgment, which leads to an emotional and loyal brand/customer attachment.
  • Develop, review and approve plans to control budget spending, labor efficiency, new areas of technology and customer service efficiency
  • Ensure that quality assurance operational objectives are being met in compliance with corporate policies and procedures through the balanced scorecard approach.
  • Achieve and maintain operational safety performance, objectives, and goals are being met in compliance with corporate policies and procedures through the balanced scorecard approach.
  • Participate as a member of the North American Leadership Team, working together to achieve North America strategic objectives

Lead Responsibilities

  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Review, validate, and approve reporting employees’ timesheet and reports.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Will support and grow NDT P&L with revenue and profit-making orientation.

Education and Work Experience

  • A proven track record of strong performance in driving performance and key field operations metrics, coupled with successful and consistent organizational development history.
  • Must have 10+ years of industry experience; Aerospace NDT and/or Aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience in Aerospace Service Organization with extensive experience with business operations management (ie Human Resources, Finance, Sales, etc)
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
  • Outstanding leadership skills. Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead team, train talent and effect change. Track record of building talent.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
