Job Details:

Title: Pressure Systems Test Engineer/Test Engineer (Component Test Planning and Execution)

Contract Position

Location: Renton, WA – Hybrid

Pay Range: $56-$65/hr. on W2


Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with pressurized equipment; developing, writing, and executing test procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems
  • Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs


Must Have:

  • Be able to design and create drawings for fixtures
  • Comfortable with hands on work
  • Knowledge of pressure systems
  • Ability to write test procedures and test plans
  • Knowledge of cryogenic testing (nice to have)
  • Day to day: Generating test P&IDs, writing test plans, writing SOWs for external companies for test.
  • Purpose is not to execute testing, more of a liaison between responsible engineer and test engineer
  • Need good technical writing skills, writing test plans


Responsibilities:

  • Write test plans and test procedures for fluid components, including development, and environmental qualification and acceptance campaigns
  • Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration
  • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability
  • Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations
  • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks
  • Proficiency in LabView, Python, MATLAB (Desired)
