Landin Services LLC is a third-party administrator that handles self-insured workers compensation programs. We specialize in the delivery of claims handling, administration, underwriting, excess insurance placement and loss control services with marketing to independent insurance agents for self-insured workers’ compensation groups in Virginia.


About the Role

This full-time position is responsible for investigating and adjudicating Virginia workers’ compensation lost time claims.


Responsibilities

  • Make contact with the insured, injured worker and physicians
  • Assign rehabilitation nurse if needed to assist in getting claimant back to work
  • Pay temporary total on weekly basis until injured worker returns to work
  • Put bills in line for repricing and approve payments
  • Process agreement forms for the Commission
  • File all medical reports with the Commission
  • Monitor claim until end and close file
  • File for hearings if needed on file
  • Assign file to attorney for hearing or settlement evaluation
  • Answer calls from insureds, medical providers and injured workers
  • Respond to orders and letters to the Commission in a timely manner
  • Document all claim files appropriately


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred


Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of experience as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize to meet required deadlines
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
