FinPro, a dynamic and growing financial institution advisory and investment banking firm, located in downtown Somerville, New Jersey, is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst position in our fast-paced environment committed to delivering the highest level of service and analytics to our clients.


While maintaining our strong position in the financial institution advisory space, we are expanding our use of advanced data analytics and detailed modeling to deliver our core service lines of strategic planning, asset liability management, enterprise risk management, regulatory advisory and management advisory services, corporate governance, capital markets and data analytics.


Successful candidates will become part of a dynamic team of consultants and will be heavily involved in the preparation and delivery of advisory services to our clients. Our intermediate size and hands on culture offers unique opportunities for the successful candidate to be actively involved in all aspects of the advisory business, including building financial models, becoming a subject matter expert, and developing and enhancing consulting services and deliverables. Qualified candidates will possess the following skills and competencies:

· Bachelor’s degree

· 2 to 3 years of experience in an analytical role

· Passion for solving problems with financial models and analytics solutions

· Intellectual curiosity to constantly learn and always improve on our services, models, analytics and deliverables

· Proven track record of building and running financial models with expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

· Willingness to learn and present ideas and concepts to our clients

· Strong analytical, conceptual and organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to manage numerous activities and initiatives effectively in a fast-paced work environment

· Strong time management skills including the ability to multitask and properly/continuously re-prioritize multiple tasks with tight timelines

· Self-driven and proactive in taking new initiatives and carrying them through to completion

· Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team framework with both senior level and support level positions.

· Demonstrated ability to present and articulate strategic concepts to senior management level and the Board of Directors

· Demonstrated leadership and training skills with a drive to constantly improve processes and deliverables

· Ability to make difficult decisions quickly with limited information or understand when and why a decision cannot be made

· Accuracy and attention to detail

· Fluent in English, both verbal and written


Responsibilities include:

· Work with managing directors in executing client consulting engagements from start to finish, including running financial models and production of output, developing custom analytics and responsibility for special projects

· Interaction with Client CEO’s and Board of Directors

· Attend and participate in client meetings

· Build and improve our internal analytical models and develop our client facing analytics

· Identify and define opportunities to improve our processes for enhanced efficiency

· Run financial models, produce output and identify the need for custom analytics where appropriate

· Evaluating and integrating data from internal and external sources to support modeling, analytics and reporting

· Proactively using data to generate useful insights by assessing key performance indicators or other trends for our clients

· Build out client reports

· Direct service line responsibility for at least one area

· Conduct industry research that will be utilized in analyses, presentations and papers

· Constantly grow industry knowledge


The firm offers a competitive base salary with annual bonus which is correlated to both individual and corporate performance. FinPro matches up to 4% for 401k with the option of providing profit sharing levels above that based upon performance.
