YOUR ROLE

As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial part in our financial operations by:

  • Conducting budget and forecast analyses on retail store expenditures.
  • Delivering comprehensive reporting and evaluations of retail store performance against historical and planned figures.
  • Providing in-depth commentary on month-end financial outcomes related to expenses.
  • Supporting the month-end closing process, which includes reporting, data verification, and accrual calculations.
  • Assisting in the validation and implementation of new systems during testing and launch phases.
  • Contributing to the creation of standardized reporting practices and control methodologies.
  • Preparing presentations and communications for the senior leadership team.
  • Offering precise and timely ad-hoc analyses to meet both existing and emerging business requirements.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance.
  • 1-2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Valuable experience in the retail sector.
  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to pinpoint issues effectively.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical abilities, with experience in handling large datasets.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to simplify complex projects and convey key insights.
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP and/or HFM is advantageous.
  • The ability to deliver results clearly and concisely to team members.
  • A strong curiosity to explore, learn, and comprehend business data.
