The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Manager of Capital Markets and Cash Application. In this role, you will oversee the cash application process and manage activities related to capital markets. They are responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient cash transactions, monitoring market trends, cash forecasting, and optimizing financial strategies to support Valvoline’s financial goals.


How You'll Make a Difference

  • Manage Valvoline’s cash position and long-term forecast to ensure the corporation has adequate liquidity to meet its capital needs.
  • Partner with FP&A, accounting, and business to assist with maintaining and updating the 13-week Treasury Cash Flow Forecasting Model.
  • Oversight of Capital Markets areas by monitoring and executing monthly financial close process activities, including maintenance of Treasury Dashboard package and refresh on cash flow forecasting process, Debt and Investment positions, and FX.
  • Backup for cash management when needed. Approve outgoing manual payments, ensure bank accounts are properly funded, execute daily investment or redemption, and handle urgent business requests.
  • Maintain the debt module in the Treasury Management System in SAP S4 HANA, including tracking instruments, monthly rate resetting, reporting, and ensuring timely payment of debt principal and interest.
  • Keep track of all revolver loan activities, including borrowing, repayment, and documentation.
  • Cultivate partnerships with relationship banks and prepare quarterly bank wallets.
  • Calculate and report quarterly liquidity.
  • Assist with the preparation of board reporting.
  • Perform yearly review of Treasury policies and initiate necessary updates.
  • Participate in special project and strategic planning activities as needed.
  • Keep current with market trends and demands.
  • Manage direct reports, including one Treasury analyst and Cash Application team, playing an integral role in establishing new teams and identifying processes and metrics.
  • Be the liaison between the Treasury, AR and Credit team supporting the business.
  • Assist Treasury with executing the Merchant Card Services RFP process and developing KPIs (key performance indicators) and analytical reporting to potentially streamline costs.
  • Ensure the adoption of Treasury word-class processes by exploring automation and streamlining of processes leveraging the existing system platform and/or exploring alternatives.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in treasury management, such as cash application, cash management, and/or capital markets
  • Minimum of two years of individual management or team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Large corporate experience (preferred)
  • CPA or CTP (preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
