Responsibilities

  • Managing the project construction contracts as the Client representative.
  • Administering the construction contract.
  • Implementing quality plans to assure all construction work is completed in conformance to the Contract Documents.
  • Implement environmental compliance requirements and procedures.
  • Manage schedules, costs, and change orders.
  • Maintain all construction documentation and records.
  • Be the prime point of contact between the Contractor and the Client and external stakeholders.
  • Direct the performance of the project CM team and ensures conformance to established policies and procedures for the management of the project.
  • Implement quality plans for adherence of construction work completed according to contract documents.
  • Manages submittals, RFI’s and change orders.
  • Various other responsibilities applicable to project.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years providing construction management services for complex projects or programs including transportation projects, preferably at an airport particularly in lead role /Resident Engineer OR 10+ years as Assistant Resident Engineer and/or Office Engineer and ready to grow
  • Past experience working for General Contractor is preferred
  • Experience with Design-Build and other Alternative Delivery Methods are preferred. 
  • A baccalaureate degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • 3+ years using CM software, Unifier is a plus. 
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California is preferred for Resident Engineer role.
  • Experience as a Cost Estimator or p6 Scheduler is desirable.
  • Certification as a Certified Construction Manager and/or Project Management Professional is a plus.
