The client's sales strategy allows you to collaborate both within the sales team and with team members in production planning, engineering, quality and operations to support the delivery of quality products to our customers. In this role, you will directly supervise and maintain high performance within a team of Account Managers who are responsible for:
* Processing sales orders and managing order fulfillment for their customers.
* Serving as a liaison between their customers and internal departments, ensuring missing information is obtained, demand changes are updated, and internal issues affecting delivery schedule are addressed and communicated.
You will personally be responsible for:
* Processing RFQs and developing quotes, considering cost data from Engineering and other relevant factors and ensuring target margins are achieved.
* Tracking site KPIs and producing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for sales and business unit managers.
* Participating in managing NPI timelines in coordination with Engineering to ensure on-time new product introduction.
* Maintaining a positive customer relationship. This includes developing a deep understanding of the customers' needs and serving as the escalation point for resolving commercial and relationship issues with customers such as quality, delivery, accounts receivable, and billing. You will positively influence and collaborate with internal departments as needed to meet customer expectations.
* Developing the Sales Plans for the division based on customer demand.

Successful individuals in this role will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in sales roles for manufacturers of highly engineered products for aerospace, defense, or other regulated markets that demand products of the highest quality.
* Previous experience directly supervising and leading others is required.
* Previous experience selling aerospace forgings or other metallic products for the aerospace industry is preferred.
Skills, Abilities, and Aptitudes
* Team management: ability to motivate and hold a team accountable for high performance.
* Technical acumen: an understanding of technical issues impacting product delivery and ability to discuss them with the customer and internal resources.
* Organizational skills: ability to establish cadence, multi-task, and prioritize.
* Ownership: a mindset of personal accountability and initiative to see what needs to be done and do it.
* Negotiation skills: ability to negotiate resolutions to complex customer issues.
* Collaborative team-player: ability to positively influence internal resources to solve customer problems.
* Critical thinking and analytical skills
* Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
* Intermediate math capabilities to be able to accurately calculate mark-ups, margins, and variances.
* Experience using an ERP/MRP system to understand order status relative to commit date and identify issues causing delays.
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office. Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of data and prepare charts and graphs of KPIs. Strong PowerPoint skills, including the ability to prepare professional customer presentations.
